Functional Masterbatch

Anti-Carbonization M/B

1. Brief Introduction

Synthetic resins made of high molecular through polymerization of small molecular weight organics are decomposed by chemical reaction due to heat, heavy metals or oxygen so called as deterioration reaction. The chains between polymers of synthetic resins are cut by the heat applied during the production through extrusion or injection molding and then the cut polymers become bigger high moleculars by peroxidative reaction. In case of multi-layers films, the films are produced through several extruders for the structural characteristics. If gells are generated from even one extruder among them, whole films shall be thrown out. Also several resins with different kind/properties can be used together to produce the functional films. But if one of them is of thermophilic, the die temperature is set according to this thermophilic resin. In this case, thermal oxidation is occurred severely, which makes lots of carbonized materials generated. The generation of the carbonization causes the loss of the working hours as well as raw materials.

Our anti-carbonization masterbatch prevents the materials from being carbonized by restricting the occurrence of thermal oxidation from the resins remained in the machines.

2. How to Use

1) Put anti-carbonization masterbatch into the machine right after the raw materials is fed through feeder completely.

2) Stop the machine in 5 minutes after the extrusion of anti-carbonization masterbacth through the die.

3) Then turn off the heaters immediately.

4) Heat the machine at 100℃ for 1~2 hours when start the machine for the production.

5) Then set the temperature at the standard operating values before 30~40 minutes prior to the production.

For your reference, as anti-carbonization masterbatch is made of the same resin as customer's, no contamination problem due to the carbonization will occur at all.
